User-centered web design
We design websites for the people who will use them. We organise content, simplify user journeys and define clear interfaces so that every user can easily find, understand and do what they need.
What do we work on?
A good website doesn't just need to look good. It needs to make sense.
User-centred web design starts with a very simple question: what does the person landing on this website need? From there, we define the structure, hierarchies, content and interactions so that navigation is clear and every decision serves a purpose.
At Cactus, we combine design, communication and technical expertise to build digital experiences that are consistent with the brand and the project's goals. We don't design screens in isolation: we think about user journeys, devices, content and real-life use cases.
We design websites that people understand from the very first moment
Designing from the content, not just the screen
A website can look visually appealing and still be hard to use. This often happens when the structure has been defined around the company's internal organisation rather than the questions users actually have.
That's why, before we start designing, we analyse what needs to be communicated, which actions are a priority and how the different pieces of content relate to each other. On that foundation, we build an experience where every element helps guide, inform or support a decision.
The result is a website that doesn't force users to understand how the company is organised, but instead adapts to the way people search, compare and make decisions.
Success stories
Digital experiences designed for those who use them
A good web experience starts by understanding what each user needs to find, understand, or do. The structure, navigation, and interactions must naturally guide them, regardless of the underlying complexity.
At Area Cooling Solutions, we work on the experience of a digital ecosystem aimed at professionals who need to consult products and technical information. At Thomas Ker, we organize a catalog of more than 2,500 references to make browsing, filtering, and finding the right product simpler. And at QKnatur, design and e-commerce work together to build a clear, visual, and easy-to-use shopping experience.

If you have any questions we haven't answered or need to evaluate a specific case, we'll be happy to help. Tell us about your project and we'll offer the best solution for your business.
What does user-centred web design mean?
It means designing around how people actually use a website: what they need to find, how they navigate, what information they need and what helps them make decisions without friction.
What's the difference between UX and UI?
UX covers the overall experience: structure, user journeys, content and interactions. UI defines how that experience is expressed visually through components, typography, colours, spacing and other interface elements.
Can you redesign an existing website?
Yes. We analyse the current structure, content and experience to identify what works and what needs improving. You don’t always need to start from scratch.
Do you only do design, or development too?
We can take on the whole project, from architecture and design through to development, or work alongside an existing technical team.
Do you work mobile-first?
It depends on the project and how its users behave. What we always do is plan the responsive experience from the start, not as an afterthought.
Can you work from existing branding?
Yes. We bring your existing visual identity into the digital space, adapting its assets so they work properly in an interface.
Do you create prototypes before development?
When the project calls for it, yes. Prototypes let us validate structure, navigation and interactions before development begins.
How do you know if an experience is easy to use?
We apply principles of usability, information architecture, hierarchy and predictable behaviour, and we scale the level of analysis and validation to the complexity of each project.
